Publication Ethics
Beacon: International Journal of Education and Social Studies (BEACON) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the principles of transparency, integrity, and academic responsibility in scholarly publishing.
Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, have not been published previously, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for presenting accurate data and objective discussion. Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited.
All authors listed in the manuscript should have made significant contributions to the research and approve the final version of the manuscript before submission. Authors must properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citations and references.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal’s scope. Editors evaluate manuscripts fairly without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or political beliefs.
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information regarding manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive feedback. Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and professionally.
Reviewers must keep all manuscript information confidential and should not use unpublished materials for personal advantage. Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and report any suspected plagiarism or ethical misconduct.
Ethical Oversight
BEACON is committed to preventing publication misconduct, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification. Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards may be rejected, corrected, or retracted when necessary.
The journal encourages all parties involved in the publication process to uphold ethical standards and academic integrity.
