This study aims to analyze how local cultural values are adapted within community organizational activities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. A qualitative research approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving 15 informants, including community leaders, organizational members, and local residents. The findings reveal that cultural values such as gotong royong (mutual cooperation), respect for elders, and consensus-based decision-making remain the fundamental principles guiding community organizational activities. These values are not only preserved but also reinterpreted and adjusted in response to social change and modernization. Sociological factors such as social structure, leadership patterns, generational differences, as well as technological and governmental influences, play significant roles in shaping this cultural adaptation process. The study concludes that community organizations in Yogyakarta successfully maintain a balance between cultural preservation and modernization, resulting in sustained social cohesion and organizational effectiveness.
